“ Saw their sign in I-5 South and decided to give them a try. I ordered the “Carne Asada y Mas” plate, and it was very good. The steak was cooked perfectly, the ground beef enchilada I chose it was also very good, and the side of guacamole was fresh and as good as the rest of the food. Hardly any wait at the time of my visit, maybe because I wasn’t there during regular lunch hours. The boots are dated, but the place was very clean. Definitely recommend this place. ”

“ We went to Mount St. Helens today; wanted to eat in Castle Rock. Most places were closed, did not want to do fast food, Saw the El Compadre parking lot had lots of cars at 2:15 PM; locals vote with their tires. We got take out, they gave us the whole deal, chips, dipping salsa, our meals came with the entree, guacamole, lettuce, refried beans, Spanish rice, very hearty portions, none of us finished our platters. Cost was about 10 each. Great taste, great value. ”
